As far as halal hawker burger brands go, Burgs is undoubtedly a popular name that comes to mind.
On August 21 (Saturday), the homegrown burger joint will officially open its latest outlet at 313@somerset. This will mark Burgs’ entry into a mall space in Singapore’s famed shopping district.
In addition to Burgs’ classic cheese burgers, diners can order a range of new items such as salmon rolls, chicken coney dogs, and even new sides and desserts.
The new space
Burgs’ new home within Kopitiam on the fifth floor of 313@somerset is perhaps its most “atas” one yet.
Besides literally being five floors above ground, the new unit is easily accessible by a nearby escalator and there’s also a dedicated corner for Burgs’ customers only.
The open kitchen concept also allows diners to watch as the burger specialists grill and assemble orders.
A unique feature at this outlet is the dedicated dining space for Burgs’ customers decked out in the brand’s signature colours and tile design. However, the best seats are undoubtedly the tables overlooking Orchard Gateway and bustling Orchard Road below.
New burgers
Make space in your stomach for new additions to the burger lineup such as the Marinara Burger (S$5.90 single, S$8.90 double) which is a burger variant of pasta with the homemade tomato sauce and melted mozzarella.
Chicken fans will appreciate the Hot & Spicy Chicken Burger (S$6.90) with its Sriracha-glazed chicken fillet layered with mayonnaise and lettuce.
And since it’s still National Day this weekend (sort of), diners can still get their hands on Burgs’ limited edition Nasi Lemak Burger at an auspicious price of S$5.60.
Non-burger options
One of the new specialties here is the Salmon Roll (S$11.90), which is made with premium Norwegian salmon packed into brioche bun and dressed with Japanese mayo and spring onions.
The Chicken Coney Dog (S$6.90) is another non-burger option that’s new to the menu. The coney dog features a chicken sausage in a brioche-like hotdog bun, topped with nacho cheese sauce, chilli con carne and sautéed onions.
New sides
Burgers go well with fries, and while the Original Fries (S$3.90) are good, their new friends are even better.
These are available in three flavours — Truffle Fries (S$5.90), Burgs’ Cheese Fries (S$4.90), and Burgs’ Chilli Cheese Fries (S$5.90). Alternatively, there’s also Battered Onion Rings (S$5.90) to accompany your burger.
However, if we had to recommend you one side, it would have to be the Nuggies with Cheese Dip (S$5.90). These are real chicken chunks blended with herbs and spices that make this the ultimate sidekick to your burger.
New drinks & desserts
Burgs’ pout-inducing Signature Black Lemonade (S$4.50) is available here as well, but that’s not the only premium drink on the menu.
At the new outlet, Burgs is also introducing their latest beverage: Lotus Biscoff Shake (S$5.90), a rich Biscoff milkshake topped with Biscoff crunch and drizzled with Biscoff cookie sauce. This one is super indulgent!
Sweet-toothed diners are also in for a treat in the form of the Lotus Biscoff Soft Serve (S$4.90), also a new addition to the menu.
For S$4.90 onwards, diners can make a meal comprising of fries and a soft drink. Additional charges apply if you choose premium sides and drinks.
Opening Special: FREE Chef’s Special Burger
To commemorate the new milestone, Burgs will be giving out an exclusive burger for free to the first 100 customers daily on opening week.
The Chilli Cheese Burger, which is made with beef patty, chicken chilli con carne and melted American cheese, is not on the menu so fastest fingers first!
Every day from 21 – 27 August, one Chilli Cheese Burger will be given free to 100 customers who purchase a set meal from Burgs 313@somerset. T&Cs apply. Store staff will begin to issue the redemption tickets from 11.15am daily, so come early!
