On January 15, ayam penyet stall Project Penyek by Ansar will be giving away free nasi ayam penyet at its location in ABC Brickworks Market & Food Centre.
According to the stall’s Facebook post on January 13, they decided to give away free nasi ayam penyet to “express our gratitude for all the support during these 2 years, especially during this pandemic period.”
The giveaway will also coincide with their 2nd year anniversary.
No limit
According to Project Penyet, there is no limit as to how many plates customers can order for free.
However, they encouraged the public to only get what they need so that more people can enjoy their nasi ayam penyet. They also reminded people who are coming to adhere to safe distancing measures.
The free nasi ayam penyet only applies for dine-in and takeaways.
It will be available from 10:30am till sold out. While stocks last.

Nasi Ikan Penyek
Fresh black pomfret fish fried with prefection, served with chicken rice, sides of vegetables and signature sambal.
Nasi Udang Penyek
Fresh, plump and juicy Tiger prawns, fried till perfection, served with sides of vegetables and signature sambal.
Nasi Sotong Penyek
Fresh and tender squid, fried till perfection, served with sides of vegetables and signature sambal.
Seafood Platter
A communal tray of flower crabs, prawns, squid and black pomfret. Comes with rice, sides of vegetables, signature sambal penyek and sambal kicap. Good for 4-5 people.
