If you a) work in the Central Business District (CBD) and b) are a big fan of traditional Malay and Indonesian cuisine, we have good news for you. Hjh Maimunah, a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand eatery, is opening a new outlet in Hong Leong Building!
This Raffles Place outlet will be the homegrown brand’s 5th store, and the opening comes practically on the heels of their Tampines branch. Once the new stall opens, it’ll be just 2 months since that store lifted its shutters for the first time!
5th outlet
The Raffles Place store is still under wraps for now, but according to this post shared on Facebook, it seems like we can expect it to open its doors by January 2021. It won’t be long before you can get your hands (and mouths) on all the yummy dishes they are known for, if you happen to work nearby.
When it finally opens, though, it’ll be situated on the basement of Hong Leong Building. For those of you familiar with the area, it’s going to be in the same vicinity as other halal eateries like Fu-Men Japanese Udon and Crave.
Honestly, we probably won’t be visiting that outlet frequently as we’re not CBD folks, but we’re glad to see more halal options opening in the business district.
Nasi padang and the works
So what can you expect from the new Hjh Maimunah outlet? Well, we’re not quite clear on the specifics yet, but good Nasi Padang, for sure. If the new outlet’s menu is anything near as extensive as the rest of the outlets, you’ll certainly be spoilt for choices when it opens!
In the meantime, you can always go to one of the other outlets for your Nasi Ambeng or Nasi Padang fix.
Address: 16 Raffles Quay, Hong Leong Building, The Basement #B1-45, Singapore 048581
Halal status: Muslim-owned
Opening hours: TBD
