Good news for fans of Hjh Maimunah — the Michelin Bib Gourmand-listed nasi padang chain has opened its latest outlet in Tampines.
According to its announcement on social media, the branch is now open at the newly renovated Kopitiam in Tampines Mall.
Prior to this, Hjh Maimunah has three outlets: Geylang Serai, Jln Pisang, and City Square Mall, with the latter being their first outlet situated in a food court.
The other two outlets are standalone, dine-in restaurants.
A “Mini” concept in the heartlands
The latest outlet in Tampines Mall follows the similar “mini” concept of its City Square counterpart.
Despite being called Hjh Maimunah Mini, the brand assured its fans that it is still big as ever on their flavours which have earned them raving reviews for over two decades.
If their Mini outlet at City Square Mall is anything to go by, we imagine the Tampines Mall version will continue to serve their tasty Kampung-style dishes, particularly with their signature Nasi Padang at forefront.
It is very likely that you can find perennial favourites like their Beef Rendang, Sambal Eggplant, Assam Pedas, and Sambal Prawns.
If you are dining in groups, their Nasi Ambeng Platter — the ultimate combo of all their best dishes — would be the right way to go.
Other than nasi padang, the Mini outlet also offers a selection of Malay kuih, Tahu Telor, and familiar Malay dishes like Lontong and Nasi Lemak.

Whilst people in Tampines rejoice at this new opening, CBD folks might be in luck too as we heard that Hjh Maimunah will open an outlet there pretty soon too.
Till then, you will have to make do with this Malay eatery that just opened there recently too.
