Wing Zone is now serving Impossible Burgers and Quesadillas at select locations

Latest casual dining eatery to add the plant-based burger to the menu.

American casual dining chain Wing Zone, known for their buffalo wings, is joining the plant-based meat craze, partnering with Impossible Foods to offer plant-based meat substitutes in two all-new dishes.

These new additions to the permanent menu are the Impossible™ Burger and Impossible™ Quesadilla.

Impossible demand on a rise

Demand for plant-based meat has steadily increased amongst consumers in Singapore
since the nationwide launch of Impossible Foods in March 2019, says a company press release.

The Silicon Valley-based company’s flagship product, Impossible Burger, is now available across a variety of cuisines in nearly 500 restaurants across the island, some of which are halal establishments.

An attractive proposition of Impossible Foods is the low carbon footprint of a plant-based diet.

According to Impossible, a 113g serving size of Impossible Foods’ meat, made from
plants, uses 96% less land, 87% less water and 89% less greenhouse gasses compared to
ground beef from a cow.

This means a saving of 7 square meters of land, 3 kg of CO2, and 84 litres of water for each serving consumed.

Impossible Foods claim that their plant-based meat rivals ground beef from cows for taste, nutrition and versatility and contains no animal hormones or antibiotics.

According to the company press release, Wing Zone’s Impossible Burger features Impossible Foods’ delicious plant-based patty, flavour fuzed in a choice of 15 award winning signature Wing Zone flavour blends, tomato slices, red Australian onions and lettuce, sandwiched between toasted buttery buns.
