Bakes By The Neighbour
Do not skip and discount this neighbourly baker from the BBC league just yet because they have a rather unique cheesecake flavour in their menu: durian!
Durian lovers rejoice. Trust a local baker to put durian into anything. As weird as it sounds, we think the combination could work with the bittersweet notes of durian cutting through the tartness of cheesecakes.
The bakery claims that they use Musang King variety of durian, or more popularly known as Mao Shan Wang. The cake sells for $65 each, delivery included.
If you’re not a fan of durian, how does Matcha Burnt Cheesecake ($55) with adzuki beans sound? Yup, that’s a pairing we could get behind no matter what.
